We are finally settling into a routine these days. The last two months have seemed like a blur. Melting days and nights. The days and nights flowed into each other. Some night I can hardly remember how many times I have gotten up . I can’t thank people enough for the support. The meals that friends have prepared and brought over, so we did not have to worry about preparing meals when we were figuring out how to take care of Sebastian and I was recovering from the birth. And the cloths friends gave us. Having Christian's mom and mine mom and dad stay with us was a god send.
Christian started his new job when Sebastian was 6 weeks old. We joke that he went back when his paternity leave was over. Christian is settling in to his new job. He seems to enjoy it and feels appreciated. It is nice because he can have a flexible schedule. So in the end it was all a blessing.
I have been venturing out a bit though the cold weather has put a damper on things. We tried to go hiking in Shaker Lakes the other day. We gathered all the baby stuff, figured out how to use the front carrier and headed out. Not 5 minutes into our walk Christian looked at me and said it was too cold for him!! So we headed to the coffee shop. I have been going to a wonderful breast feeding support group. I really helped when I was having problems with Sebastian latching on.
So here is a typical day
1. Wake up.
2. Feed Sebastian
3. Change Sebastian’s diaper. Hope it is not a blow because then I have to change all his cloths
4. Do my morning routine while Sebastian hangs out batting at his gym.
5. Head out to a moms group or yoga if I am not to tired
6. Come home for lunch. Try to nap but usually we just end up in bed cooing and playing

7. Repeat from #2. and #3
8. Before I know it, it’s time to go to bed.
Sleep. What’s that? Some nights are a little more interrupted than others. We discovered that Sebastian, like most babies, makes a lot of noise while he sleeps squeaks, grunts, snorts, gurgles, neighs. That make it hard to sleep soundly next to him. We are amazed every day by Sebastian. His smiles and his laughing have made it easier to deal with the sleep deviation.
